Sex Toy Review: Penelope Rose Vibrator.

I’ve been in the market for a new sex toy for a bit, and when I saw the rose vibrator, I stopped dead in my tracks. I had seen air vibrators before, but this one was a dual vibrator. It had one side for air pulsing fun and the other side for G spot tickling. And to really sell it for me, it looked cute too. The adorable rose shape caught my eye before anything else. While I’ve seen others that looked similar, this one was the first to catch my eye with a “stem” that I could definitely see coming in handy. So naturally, I purchased it right away. A purchase from V for Vibes always feels good because I know that a woman-owned business knows what’s up for women’s bodies.

It arrived in discreet packaging, which was nice, though I hardly noticed because I was too excited to rip it open. Let me tell you, if sex toys could be art, Penelope would be hanging in a museum. The beautiful rose was accentuated by a deep red color. The lines of the rose were both aesthetically pleasing and felt great when I ran my fingers across them. The overall size was nice too. It fits in my hand comfortably and didn’t seem overwhelming. I’ve definitely skipped checking the measurements on sex toys before and regretted a too big purchase. In comparison, the rose vibrator was the perfect size for me. Nothing overwhelming, but also not the underwhelming small bullet-sized number either.

I got started pretty much immediately playing around with the product. I decided to start with the rose end first. I have used air pulse vibrators before, and the rose vibrator does air pulsing well. If you haven’t tried them, they’re a must-try for anyone with a clit. Conventional vibrators use physical stimulation to, in essence, shake your clit into oblivion. In contrast, the air pulse vibrator sends out little bursts of air to push against your clit. The result of these clit pushing pulses? An experience that feels eerily similar to some of the best oral you’ve ever had, and I am happy to let this toy take any mouth’s place. I’ll be honest, I hardly ever use a non-air pulse vibrator anymore these days. The orgasms I get are stronger and quicker than the old-school methods I tried before. And I find myself being able to enjoy it for longer if I do want to. With a more conventional vibrator, I get that “buzzed out” feeling where I feel almost numb down there. That simply doesn’t happen to me when I use a high quality air pulse vibrator like the rose vibrator.

Unlike other air pulse vibrators out there, though, the rose vibrator came with some more fun surprises. I really enjoyed the petals of the rose. They did a great job stimulating some surrounding areas. Some of the other air pulse vibrators I’ve tried work really well on one point of your clit. And while that’s certainly effective, engaging more of your sensitive areas certainly comes with a satisfying reward. The petals seemed to just rest gently on my labia and provide the perfect amount of periphery stimulation for my playtime.

When I was feeling good and satisfied with the air vibrator side of things, I decided to switch the rose vibrator around and check out the stem to see the dual vibrator perks. Anything you insert can really be a crapshoot. Too often, products are too big or too small. I really think the rose vibrator does a great job of finding this sweet spot in the middle. I was able to easily reach my internal G spot (which- omg, you NEED to find if you haven’t yet) and play around with it easily. Repeatedly pushing the stem inside my vagina felt great, and I loved that the rose vibrator head allowed for a bit of a handle while I had my fun. This is also a great time to celebrate the rose vibrator’s true waterproof nature. When you’re having a lot of fun, things can get wet, it’s just the way women’s bodies work. I’m glad our sex toys have finally caught on and allow us to really enjoy our wetness without freaking out that I’m going to break a motor on something. That, and did someone say shower sex?!

the rose vibrator review

One of the reasons I was excited about this dual vibrator was the opportunity to go back and forth between internal and external stimulation. THIS IS MY PREFERRED STRATEGY when I’m really treating myself to a fun time with my favorite toys. Going back and forth between different types of sensations allows me to extend my play. And then when I play longer, the orgasms I get end up being that much more intense. Playing with the different vibrator speeds on the rose vibrator also helped me extend my playtime. Sometimes it’s nice to integrate in purposeful “lulls” at low vibration speeds to gear yourself up for some of the more intense types. The rose vibrator definitely allows you to feel the vibrations on both ends of the device, which I appreciate as well.

When I was done, the soft silicone was easy to clean. I felt safe knowing it was waterproof to really clean it up. When I was done, it looked good as new. In comparison to my other toys, I think the rose vibrator is one I’ll come back to time and time again. Dual stimulation is simply my preferred method of self-pleasure lately, and I like a tool that both gets the job done and looks good doing it. When I was putting it away and comparing it to my other toys, I also had a chance to notice how much more aesthetically pleasing it is compared to the others. Honestly, when you’re looking to feel good, how something looks is really important. This thing looks like a work of art compared to cheap rubbery pink stuff I’ve had in the past.

The rose vibrator, like a lot of modern vibrators, charges using a micro USB port. I can’t imagine searching the house for batteries when I want to get off, so this is a great thing. I found it relatively fast to charge back up and reuse. It held its charge for more than one use at a time as well.

I’m excited to share the rose vibrator with my partner. I think we both will find ways to enjoy it. Because of its multiple forms of pleasure, I think it’ll work really well when you’re having sex with someone too or enjoying mutual masturbation. Sometimes in sexy situations, it’s nice to have something less cumbersome to sneak in pleasure in between heavier moments. I’ve had partners turned off before from some of the bigger models of vibrators. This will be great to have available for when it’s time for just a little bit extra.

Overall, I heavily suggest the rose vibrator to anyone. If you’re just getting started with air pulse vibrators, this is definitely a great introduction. And it’s simply an economical choice, too, since it can provide dual pleasure from either insertion or clit play. If nothing else, you deserve something this pretty in your sex toy bag!
